Well ALCers! We had, oh so much fun at our NYC cocktail party hosted by Gilly Munson White and Marnie Thompson Miller! THANK YOU BOTH! So many ALC Alums connected, chatted, and hugged one another and partipated in a small silent auction! Each of our lucky winners of the auction left Gilly’s with their items: camp chair, canoe paddle, ALC tote bag, and 2 nights stay at Family Camp. All the proceeds went to ALC’s Financial Aid Program. What a wonderful evening celebrating our relationships with one another. We are so BLESSED!
Hat’s off to Megahn Greenberg, (ALC alum) who ran the 113th Boston Marathon on April 20, 2009, in 4:05.
“Two of the best surprises of the day were seeing Sam Sawin and Lisa Hamblin on the course. Sam was just cheering for everyone as they ran by, because most people had their names written on their arms or their shirts, and she was like, “Go Abi, Go Laura, Go so-and-so, Go Meghan–wait! Meg! Meg!” I was so excited to see her I ran back five steps to give her a hug. When I ran past Lisa, I was looking the other way, but I think I recognized her voice and turned around. I was running with my cousin and another one of our MS Society teammates, and I was like, “You’re not going to believe this, but that was ANOTHER one of my camp counselors.” – Meghan
