The many gifts of our ALC famiy

With the recent loss of a family member and VERY VITAL member of the ALC family, it makes me realize how important we are to one another. It brings me to my knees in thankfulness for everyone who has touched my life and the lives of others in this cherished ALC community. I do have to admit, that I will be ever-more conscientious about saying good bye to each person who leaves my side; about how I treat others each time that I interact with them; about how to appreciate others and have them know how much I appreciate them; and how sadness sharpens our senses about the value of life. I guess that a loss brings people together and gives us all the opportunity to re-connect and applaud the meaning of Our Greater Family – how blessed we all are to have one another. What brings you to your knees; what leads you to make changes in your interactions with others; and how can you show your appreciation for others and have them realize your appreciation? These are things that we pledge to ‘practice and live’ while at camp – thank you for the gifts of ALC families to the mosaic of life.
