Alford Lake Camp

“It is hard for me to find the words to tell you what ALC has meant for this little girl. …She was a lonely, scared little girl whose greatest wish was to have a friend.  When I visited her at ALC this past Monday, she was surrounded with girls who love her and care about what she thinks.  Two staff members approached me and told me what a wonderful addition she is to ALC.  She has found her voice and is not afraid to use it. Her confidence in herself and her abilities have soared. I bowed my head and thanked God. I am not sure that the wonderful counselors and staff that you find each summer have any idea the long term affects that they have on these girls.  Please tell all of them, from me, that in the case of one previously lonely little girl, they may have saved her life.  And for that, they have my heart.  – a camper’s Godmother
